In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.

This committee acts as liaison between the Village and the Club to secure Kiwanis sponsorship of the Village, both financially and to keep the Club abreast of current activities and possible volunteer opportunities.

This fundraising committee obtains and distributes Christmas food products to members for sale to friends, co-workers, customers, etc. Sales are tracked and tallied and net profit supports the club's service projects to children in the community.

Community Awareness/Marketing Committee Mackenzie, Bruce F
The purpose of this committee is to raise the awareness in the community about Kiwanis. It is also to assist other committees with the marketing ideas for the promotion of their projects and to bring uniformity into the marketing materials being used by all the committees.

The purpose of this committee is to screen requests from the community for financial assistance and recommend to the Board every quarter whether or not to fulfill the request.

Members of this committee are: Past President, President, President Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer. This committee meets every 90 days to review the progress of the club and to set goals and objectives for the next 90 days, 1 year, 2 years and 3 years. They will make recommendations to the Board of Directors and committees as necessary.The incoming Vice President will join this committee at the June meeting.
Fundraising Griffin, Joan
This committee organizes fundraising events to raise monies for the club's service projects. This year we will be also looking to Grant requests to augment our funds.
House & Reception/Goodwill Peever, Bob
The task of this committee is to ensure that the meeting room is ready well before noon for the President to officially begin the weekly meeting. The committee schedules greeters for weekly luncheon meetings and welcomes attendees to the meeting. The committee acknowledges illnesses and deaths of members and their families and sends appropriate flowers and/or cards.
Interclub Sahota, Pallo
Organize monthly interclubs and communicate them to our Membership.
Kiwanis Field Glaves, Crystal
This committee acts as a liaison to keep the Club abreast of the current fundraising position of the Kiwanis Field Committee consisting of many teachers, Kiwanis members and other community minded people. The club's obligation to the Kiwanis Field Committee is monetary and the use of our club resources (members, experience) to participate with the formal committee.

Recruit and retain membership. The committee ensures that every member feels they belong and they are needed. The committee organizes membership round-ups and new member orientation meetings.

To oversee the planning and delivery of the annual Brantford Music Festival in partnership with the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association - Brantford branch.

This is a social/fundraising event in which a Kiwanian hosts a dinner for 2 mystery Kiwanian couples. The purpose of this event is to get to know each other better and to raise funds for club service projects.

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Brantford holds a Ploughman's Lunch to obtain funds that we used for the grants distributed by Kiwanis to children in need in our community and around the world. This annual event is held at the Children's Safety Village.

The purpose of this committee is to organize interesting and diversified programs for the weekly luncheon meetings.

The purpose of this committee is to organize some social events for the club which will provide an informal setting for members to have fun and get to know each other better.
Strong Start Jones, Judith
This YCPO service project is geared to SK and Grade 1 students. Kiwanians provide funding and one-on-one assistance to children who are having difficulty learning letters, sounds, and words. All Kiwanis Strong Start volunteers are fully trained (4 hours) and have Police Checks. Volunteers develop a working relationship with each child and work individually with each child for 10 weeks for approximately half an hour each week. There are 2 sessions to choose from - Fall for 10 weeks and in the Spring for 10 weeks. Volunteers encourage, support and teach children reading lessons from an excellent, well organized reading program. These reading skills support learning and improve self-esteem and measurable growth.

The purpose of this committee is to provide a fun filled evening that will raise some money for the club's service projects.
