In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.

The purpose of this committee is to raise funds for our club's service projects. This committee is using this opportunity to raise awareness in the community and showcase what we do and how we are having fun while we do it. |
Aktion Club |

Aktion Clubs draw members from various organizations that support individuals with disabilities, as well as other community programs. Aktion Clubs can also be established at churches, libraries, YMCAs, lodges, or similar facilities. A Kiwanis club, composed of like-minded, service-oriented people from the community, serves as the club's sponsor. |

The Awards Committee will be established annually. It will consist of the President, Immediate Past President, and a member of the club selected by the President, who is knowledgeable about the contributions made by the members as well as the volunteer contributions made by community leaders. As presiding officer of the club and the board, the president works closely with the board of directors and committee chairs to establish and follow a strategic plan, set goals for improving the members' club experience and increase the impact of the club's service in the community by adding new members to the club. |

This fundraising committee obtains and distributes Christmas food products to members for sale to friends, co-workers, customers, etc. Sales are tracked and tallied and net profit supports the club's service projects to children in the community. |

Community Awareness/Marketing Committee |

The purpose of this committee is to raise the awareness in the community about Kiwanis. It is also to assist other committees with the marketing ideas for the promotion of their projects and to bring uniformity into the marketing materials being used by all the committees. |
Dinner for Two Anywhere in the World |

This fundraising committee obtains a OLG licence to sell tickets to the community to raise funds for our club that are used to support children in need in our community. |
Donation Requests |

Members of this committee are: Past President, President, President Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer. This committee meets every 90 days to review the progress of the club and to set goals and objectives for the next 90 days, 1 year, 2 years and 3 years. They will make recommendations to the Board of Directors and committees as necessary.The incoming Vice President will join this committee at the 1st meeting of the New Year. The President Elect should chair the 4th meeting for the New Year of 2017. |

The task of this committee is to ensure that the meeting room is ready well before noon for the President to officially begin the weekly meeting. The committee schedules greeters for weekly luncheon meetings and welcomes attendees to the meeting. The committee acknowledges illnesses and deaths of members and their families and sends appropriate flowers and/or cards. |

Kiwanis Field |

Initially this committee will continue to act as a liaison to keep the Club abreast of the current fundraising position of the Kiwanis Field External Committee. As this is the first year that Kiwanis Field is operational, the Club is attempting to use it as a Service Project while gaining Community Awareness about the Field and Kiwanis. As our experience in how to use this asset develops, it could become a Service Project with fundraising activities relating to Sponsors and Donors to help support our Service efforts. |
Laps for Literacy |

The purpose of this committee was to raise the awareness in the community of the importance of reading among our youth. The committee brought the community together on the Kiwanis Field by donating gently used and new books to lay on the track and see how many times we can lap the track! When the event is finished schools come and pick up their share of the books to take back to their classrooms. |

Recruit and retain membership. The committee ensures that every member feels they belong and they are needed. The committee organizes membership round-ups and new member orientation meetings. |
Mystery Dinner - Park of the Social Committee |

This is a social/fundraising event in which a Kiwanian hosts a dinner for 2 mystery Kiwanian couples. The purpose of this event is to get to know each other better and to raise funds for club service projects. |
One Day Service Project |

The Club participates in Kiwanis International's day of service project. This committee organizes a one day service project that will benefit the community. Each year, Kiwanis clubs around the world join in a day of service. Starting in the 2016-17 administrative year, Kiwanis One Day will be held on the fourth Saturday of October. In 2016, Kiwanis One Day will be observed on October 22. |
Ploughman's Lunch |

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Brantford holds a Ploughman's Lunch to obtain funds that we used for the grants distributed by Kiwanis to children in need in our community and around the world. This annual event is held at the Children's Safety Village. |
